DURHAM, N.C. – Following the fall semester, North Carolina Central University student-athletes have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.01, surpassing the benchmark set by the NCCU Department of Athletics.
"I am so proud of our scholar-athletes who achieved academic success during the fall 2017 semester," said NCCU Director of Athletics
Dr. Ingrid Wicker McCree. "It says a lot about their commitment to their academic goals."
Nine teams sustain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, headlined by men's tennis with a GPA of 3.68.
Individually, there are 155 student-athletes who boast a 3.0 cumulative GPA or better, while 17 of them maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA.
