NICEVILLE, FLORIDA – With North Carolina Central University's 65-40 win over Eastern Illinois, the Eagles will now play the Lumberjacks of Northern Arizona University at 2:30 p.m. inside Raider Arena in the final game of the 2014 Emerald Coast Classic in Niceville, Florida.

Northern Arizona (2-4) had to use overtime to outlast the Jaguars of Southern University in game two of Friday's first session as NAU won 70-63 behind 17 points and nine rebounds from 6-7, 276-pound forward Ako Kaluna to earn the win.

Sophomore guard Kris Yanku added 18 points and four rebounds, while senior Quinton Upshur added 13 points for NAU.

The Lumberjacks led by as much as 10 in the second half, but Southern kept fighting to send the game into its extra session.

NAU also ended a two-game skid with the win on Friday and is led by third year head coach Jack Murphy who has compiled a 30-40 record during his tenure.  Former NCCU men's basketball assistant coach Wes Pifer is on his second season with the staff.

These two teams have never met on the hardwood, in fact, the Eagles have never faced a team from the Big Sky Conference since moving to the NCAA Division I level.
