DURHAM, N.C. (www.NCCUEaglePride.com) – On Tuesday, May 22, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference announced the 2012 Commissioner’s All-Academic Team, which recognized 49 North Carolina Central University student-athletes among all 14 men’s and women’s athletics programs at NCCU for their academic achievements.
The MEAC identified sophomores, juniors and seniors with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better from the conference’s 13 member institutions, who attained academic success during the 2011-12 academic school year.
A total of 814 MEAC student-athletes were recognized.
“I am excited to highlight the 814 student-athletes who maintained a 3.0 or better grade point average during the 2011-12 academic school year,” said Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas. “I would like to commend the administrators, athletic academic support staff and personnel, coaches, institutions, and parents for their contributions to the academic success of these student-athletes.”
