“Alejandro has been a model student-athlete during his tenure at NCCU, and as he embarks on the next chapter I am sure he will be successful in his future endeavors,” said NCCU director of tennis and head men’s tennis coach Curtis Lawson.
Along with this recent achievement, Espitia received Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference All-Academic honors, the NCCU/US Marine Corps Leadership Award, the men’s tennis True Grit Award, the men’s tennis MVP Award, and the 2010-11 ITA All-Academic Team Award, which was awarded in September of 2011.
