DURHAM, N.C. (www.NCCUEaglePride.com) – Five North Carolina Central University softball student-athletes attained Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference All-Academic Honors on Wednesday, May 9 based on their outstanding academic performances in the classroom.
May 2012 graduating seniors Aurora Baker and Nadia Moreta, junior Kayla McPeek and sophomores Amanda Bullock and Regina Diaz were among the 71 honorees.
The MEAC honors, sophomore, junior and senior student-athletes who have achieved a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average. Among 13 MEAC institutions, all 13 made the list.
Baker will participate in NCCU’s May 12 commencement ceremony with a degree in biology and final cumulative GPA of 3.215, while fellow spring graduate Moreta will finish with a 3.168 in criminal justice. McPeek leads her junior classmates with a 3.091 in business administration, as Bullock continues her studies in mathematics with a 3.020 and Diaz pursues her degree in criminal justice with a 3.343.
